Pediatric Occupational Therapist Jobs
A pediatric occupational therapist is responsible for rehabilitation to adult population in acute hospital setting, providing medically prescribed therapy services, evaluating clinical findings to determine diagnosis and outcomes of treatment, designing a plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan, addressing patient needs for various services, educating staff members on best practices, educating patients and families on treatment methods and other processes, maintaining a professional demeanor, handling administrative issues pertaining to the role, attending training sessions in the area, ensuring that the exam room and other premises are clean and performing various other tasks. A pediatric occupational therapist typically reports to an occupational therapy manager.
A pediatric occupational therapist should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant area. Master's degree in a specific area might help. Prior experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist is advantageous.
