Working on the rehabilitation team, the PRN occupational therapist evaluates patients and administers customized treatment plans to restore or improve function and ADLs/IADLs. The occupational therapist provides quality care to facilitate patient goal achievement and effective reintegration into the home and community. These positive patient outcomes are achieved through following the plan of care and maintaining consistent collaboration with the patient, family/caregivers and the multidisciplinary team. The occupational therapist also supervises and delegates responsibilities to occupational therapy assistants and aides. All professional care is provided in accordance with AOTA standards and Maryland State Board of Examiners scope of practice.
•Entry level occupational therapy degree from an accredited college or university
•Current occupational therapy licensure in the state of Maryland
•One year of inpatient rehabilitation/acute care experience preferred but not required
•American Heart Association CPR Certification (Healthcare Provider Level)
•Basic computer skills
•Critical thinking skills
