Position Summary: Registered Occupational Therapist who provides direct patient care through evaluation, planning, implementation, treatment and reassessment. The Senior Therapist will use Occupational Therapy procedures/modalities and techniques as ordered by the patients Physician and set forth in the treatment plan. Reports To: Clinical Supervisor/ Director Supervises: None Occupational Therapist FT/Days Rotating Weekends Rehabilitation Services Position Requirements: Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of California Certification by the NBCOT Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) card Education: Graduate of a school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association All OTRs must complete general hospital orientation, department-specific orientation, education, and competencies with demonstrated proficiency upon hire, when duties are modified and as applicable annually thereafter. Special Qualifications: Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good direction and organizational skills. Ability to work under conditions that are ever changing and with frequent interruptions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent knowledge of current Environmental Services best practices. Excellent organizational skills. Good verbal & written communication skills using correct grammar / spelling.
