Job Details: The Licensed Occupational Therapist(OTR/L) evaluates patients and prescribes a treatment program, with physician approval for all patients assigned to him/her. The OTR/L further adjusts the program within constraints and confers with the physician as needed. He/she documents treatment, progress, and makes suggestions toward further treatment. In the outpatient arena the physical therapist is responsible for developing an understanding of the regulations that govern the provision of Rehabilitation set forth by the varying party payors in this region. He/She also is responsible for the supervision of the OT Tech assigned to his/her team and/or a COTA assigned to that team. Graduate of an accredited college program of occupational therapy. Active and valid Occupational Therapist license. CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
