WellStar is looking to add a full-time Occupational Therapist to it's Homecare team!!
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for age appropriate interventions for the client. These interventions include meeting the physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs of the client who requires rehabilitative care. The Occupational Therapist provides delivery of high quality continuous care providing assessment, therapeutic exercises, education, and treatments in the patient’s home. The therapist acts as a preceptor for new employees and works in cooperation with other disciplines. The Therapist is responsible for attending inservices, staff meetings, special projects and continuing education. The Therapist reports to a Team Manager.
Required Minimum Education
: Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the State of Georgia. BLS certification required. Valid Georgia Driver’s License required.
Required Minimum Experience
: One year of Full-time Occupational Therapy experience required. Home Health experience preferred.
Required Minimum Skills
: Positive leadership, problem solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills. Strong assessment and clinical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, Use of window based computer, utilizing home health patient software, email, internet, computer based learning modules, etc. Good understanding of home health operations, reimbursement, law and regulatory processes.
