Provides Occupational Therapy assessment and therapeutic interventions to individuals within a wide range of diagnoses including general medical, orthopedic, neurologic and cardiovascular in the area of functional activities related to activities of daily living, upper body strength and mobility. Also provides education to patients, appropriate family members and friends in order to restore patient's functional independence and reduce or prevent long term disability. Assists the patients to reach their maximum potential and return to their family and community. Coordinates and collaborates with other disciplines and implements the programs of the Rehabilitation Department under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Manager. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
One year of experience preferrred as an O.T.R/L. in a physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehabilitation.
Prefer affiliation with AOTA. Pref. experience with rehab therapy either through educational affiliations or prior work experience.
Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy approved and registered by the AOTA with a B.S., B.A., M.A, or M.S degree Master's degree
Completion of annual safety training.
Completes and maintains required department specific training.
Must be licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
Current Health Provider CPR/BLS certification required.
One (1) year experience in OTR/L in outpatient care, hand and neuro rehab is preferred.
This position will cover for outpatient, hand and neuro rehab and also provide additional inpatient coverage when needed.

Prefer experience with rehab therapy either through educational affiliations or prior work experience. Completion of annual competencies and unit specific training. Must be licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CT OT).Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required (CT BLS). One (1) year experience in OTR/L in outpatient care, hand and neuro rehab is preferred.
