Responsibilities
This position is located in Security and Safety Division, Office of the Executive Director at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. This Division is responsible for providing the Commission's security and safety management programs while providing project management and technical direction for the Commission occupational safety and health program.
Major Duties for the Safety & Occupational Health Manager:
Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative COR for occupational safety and health contract vehicles.
Develops and applies occupational safety and health policies, procedures, programs, and guidance in connection with requirements.
Coordinates data collection and reporting with inter-agency entities including OSHA.
Conducts assessments, inspections, and/or investigations of occupational safety and health program areas and then develops and implements appropriate controls or mitigations.

Must provide most recent SF-50 containing grade/step information.
Successfully complete a background investigation.
Some travel may be required.

You must meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. All required documents must be received by the closing of this announcement. For this vacancy you must submit a copy of your most recent SF-50 showing your current grade level. If you do not submit a required document, (e.g. most recent SF-50, transcripts, etc.) your application will be considered incomplete and you will not receive further consideration. Qualifications
In order to meet the minimum requirements for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level. Specialized Experience is defined as: Significant experience applying occupational safety and health principles and conducting assessments and inspections in order to identify hazardous conditions and determine appropriate protection or mitigation measures.
