Washburn University\u2019s Department of Allied Health in Topeka, KS invites applications for the position of Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Director beginning July 1, 2018. This position is a 12-month full-time lecturer non-tenure track faculty appointment with possible conversion to tenure track after three- year review. The responsibilities of this position will include: Administration of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program; curriculum development; teaching assigned courses; academic advising to students; holding on-campus office hours at least 3 days per week; maintaining data for program accreditation requirements; supervision of adjunct faculty and service (professional, community, and university). Salary competitive and commensurate with education\/experience.\u00a0 Required Education\/Experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist in Kansas (or eligible); Master\u2019s degree and five years professional experience. Minimum of one year full-time teaching and experience working with Occupational Therapy Assistants. Curriculum development and administrative experience. Preferred qualifications for consideration of tenure-track appointment: 1) Doctoral degree; 2) Experience in online education or with use of online learning management systems; 3) Experience in educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment.
